Attention employees and pensioners
Celebration of life for the late Mr. Allen Wright
Mr. Allen Wright was a Technician in the old Design and Development Section of the Equipment Department before he joined Hawker Siddeley, which was acquired the Urban Transportation Development Corporation (UTDC). Mr. Wright passed away on June 12, 2015.
Mr. Wright served the rail car industry well. He was the key person in the mid-1970s selling to the TTC the 196 CLRV streetcars as Director at UTDC (an Ontario government agency, which was later acquired by Bombardier). Mr. Wright was involved in Bombardier’s new vehicle technologies when the TTC was searching for a suitable accessible streetcar for the demanding TTC network.
The Wright family is extending an invitation to employees and pensioners to attend a celebration of life on Aug. 30 at the Country Club in Stratford. For more information, please e-mail Sylvia Wright (wife) at sylviaw@thewrightconn.com.
