#4400 arrived in Toronto one year ago today

Chief Vehicle Engineer – Rail Stephen Lam provides a progress report on the TTC’s latest-generation, low-floor streetcars one year to the day of the first arrival in Toronto, in the latest audio cast released on Sept. 25.

“Car 4400 was transported from Hillcrest Yard to the National Research Council in Ottawa for climate room tests,” Lam says. “All tests were performed under specified duty cycles and an extreme temperature range for Toronto.”
