First new-generation artic arrived one year ago today


One year ago today (July 18) the first of TTC’s low-floor, articulated buses was delivered to Wilson Garage. Bendy bus #9000 arrived on property from Nova Bus in St. Eustache, Que.

One year ago today (July 18) the first of TTC’s low-floor, articulated buses was delivered to Wilson Garage. Bendy bus #9000 arrived on property from Nova Bus in St. Eustache, Que.

A total of 74 articulated buses are currently in service on the 7 Bathurst, 29 Dufferin, 53 Steeles East Express and 85 Sheppard East routes. The 18.3-metre buses are scheduled to see service on the 36 Finch West and 41 Keele routes by year’s end, and on the 63 Ossington route in early 2015.

Bendy buses are currently operating out of Wilson and Malvern Garages. Future deliveries (153 in total) will also be made to Arrow Road and Mount Dennis Garages.
