Going for gold in Switzerland


Apprentice Electrician Frank Giustini is on a mission in Zug, Switzerland. Not for the TTC or CUPE Local 2, though. He’s representing the nation’s hope for a gold medal, along with his teammates, as a forward on Team Canada’s World Ball Hockey squad.

Apprentice Electrician Frank Giustini is on a mission in Zug, Switzerland. Not for the TTC or CUPE Local 2, though. He’s representing the nation’s hope for a gold medal, along with his teammates, as a forward on Team Canada’s World Ball Hockey squad.

Giustini has represented Canada on the international stage several times. In 2008, he played in the World Juniors tournament, capturing the gold and the most valuable player title. Then in 2011, the won silver in the Men’s World Ball Hockey tournament, and was named to the all-star team. He’s also a three-time Canadian National Champion in his sport.

The 27-year-old is known for his natural scoring ability, quick one-timer and playing at his best when under pressure. He’s currently ranked sixth overall in total points.

Giustini’s Team Canada is playing in the A-Pool. The World Championship runs until June 28. Follow the tournament at zug2015.com (Swiss website).
