November 2015 Board Period Service Changes

Starting on Sun., Nov. 22, the TTC will be making the following service adjustments:

All Day Every Day service

This route will have service increases so that in operates all day, every day:
127 DAVENPORT

10-Minute Network

These two routes will have service increases so that in most cases they operate every 10 minutes or better, all day, every day.
165 WESTON RD NORTH
96 WILSON

Reduced off-peak crowding

These three routes will have service increases at off peak times to reduce crowding and reduce waiting times:

Here’s a summary of the service changes:

LINE 1 tunnel remediation project ends
The early closure of Line 1 north of Eglinton Station for tunnel remediation work will end. During this project, trains did not operate between Eglinton Station and Finch Station after approximately 12:30 a.m., Sunday (early Monday morning) to Friday (early Saturday morning). The last day of the early closure will be Fri., Dec. 18 (early Saturday morning). After this date, service will operate through to Finch Station until the usual 2 a.m. end of service, and the replacement buses will be discontinued.

87 COSBURN

• Schedule change
  Earlier service will be operated from Monday to Friday, east of Coxwell Avenue. Service on the 87C (Broadview Stn-Main Street Stn) branch will begin at approximately 5 a.m., and will replace early morning 87B (Broadview Stn-Coxwell) trips.

127 DAVENPORT

• New service – Service Improvements for 2015
  Service will be operated in the late evening on Sunday and holidays. Buses will run every 20 minutes. With this change, service on this route will operate all day, every day.

504 KING

• Service increase – Service Improvements for 2015
  Service will be increased during the midday and evening from Monday to Friday. Service will operate every four-to-six minutes at these times.

501 QUEEN

• Service improvement
  Buses will be temporarily added to service during the peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday, to reduce crowding, and to help operate a more reliable service.

86 SCARBOROUGH

• Temporary schedule change ends
  The additional time that was temporarily added to the Monday-Friday schedules will be removed, as City road construction on Meadowvale Road wraps up for 2015. There will be no significant changes to service levels, but specific trip times will change.

165 WESTON RD NORTH

• Service increase – Service Improvements for 2015
  Service will be increased at most times on Saturday, Sunday and holidays, to reduce crowding, and so that service on this route between York Mills Station and Steeles Avenue operates every 10 minutes or better, all day, every day.

96 WILSON

• New service – Service Improvements for 2015
  Service will be operated in the late evening, seven days a week, on the 96C (Wilson Stn-Thistle Down and Tandridge) branch. Buses will run every 30 minutes. With this change, service on this branch will operate all day, every day.
• Service increase – Service Improvements for 2015
  Service will be increased at most times on Saturday, Sunday and holidays, to reduce crowding, and so that service on this route between York Mills Station and Kipling Avenue operates every 10 minutes or better.
