Just married, the better way

Congratulations to Bronwen Davis and Tyler Simpson, of Toronto, who tied the knot last month.

The couple lives close to Lansdowne Station and taking the TTC to work is a daily ritual. In planning for their wedding the subject of transportation came and the couple had an important decision to make. Friends had asked them how they were going to get their wedding at Dufferin Grove Park – a limo, a cab, a rickshaw? Perish the thought, they were taking the subway.

So on Aug. 1, dressed in their finest, they arrived at Lansdowne Station, paused for photos on the platform, then took the train eastbound to Dufferin. They came back home the same way.

CEO Andy Byford met the newlyweds in person on Sept. 17 to personally wish the couple the very best in their future together and presented them a framed vintage poster on behalf of the TTC.
