June Board Period Service Changes


Starting on Sunday, June 19, the TTC will be making the following service adjustments.

Starting on Sunday, June 19, the TTC will be making the following service adjustments:

MAJOR ROUTE CHANGES

  • 24D Victoria Park – Branch discontinued
  • 28 Bayview South – New all day every day service
  • 35 Jane – Routing change
  • 72 Pape – Revised bus route
  • 121 Fort York-Esplanade – New bus route
  • 172 Cherry Street – Route discontinued
  • 224 Victoria Park North – Route discontinued
  • 514 Cherry – New streetcar route

8 Broadview
Temporary route change

The route will be temporarily changed at Broadview Station during construction that requires the closure of the bus loop. Buses will serve customers on Erindale Avenue, north east of the station. Customers paying with cash, tokens, and tickets will require a paper transfer to access buses or Broadview Station.

11 Bayview
Service increase
Service will be increased between Davisville Station and Sunnybrook Hospital during the peak periods from Monday to Friday. New service on the 11C (Davisville Stn-Sunnybrook) branch will replace the service on the 11B (Davisville Stn-Bayview) branch. Together with the 11A (Davisville Stn-Steeles) branch, the combined service between Davisville Station and Sunnybrook Hospital will be improved to every seven-to-eight minutes. Service north of Sunnybrook Hospital to Steeles will operate every 15 minutes in the peak periods.

24 Victoria Park
Service in York Region eliminated
At the request of YRT/Viva, the Monday-Friday midday and early evening 24D Victoria Park (Victoria Park Stn-Major Mackenzie) branch will be eliminated, along with the 224 Victoria Park North peak period route. YRT/Viva will replace the services with a new 24 Woodbine bus route operating from Don Mills Station. Visit YRT.ca for more information.  There will be no change to service levels in Toronto on the 24A (Victoria Park Stn-Steeles) or 24B (Victoria Park Stn-Don Mills Stn) branches. The last day of service for this branch will be Friday, June 17, 2016.

28 Bayview South
New all day every day service
New service will be operated from Monday to Friday, and during the evenings on Saturday, Sunday and holidays, so that service is provided all day, every day to Bayview Avenue, south of Davisville Avenue, and to the Evergreen Brick Works. The service will operate every 20 minutes in the peak periods and midday from Monday to Friday, and every 30 minutes at all other times. Earlier Sunday serviceSunday morning bus service will start earlier, at approximately 8 a.m., to match the start time of the subway service.

20 Cliffside
Temporary schedule change
The schedules will be changed in the late evening, every day, and in the early evening on Sundays and holidays. Service levels will change slightly, and specific trip times will change.

33 Forest Hill
Temporary route change
Construction work at St Clair West Station will require the temporary closure of the bus and streetcar platforms. Customers can board buses on this route on the north side of St Clair Avenue, just outside the St Clair West Station entrance.

35 Jane
Routing change
At the request of YRT/Viva, the routing of the 35D (Jane Stn-Langstaff Rd) branch will change to operate via Interchange Way and Edgeley Boulevard. There will be minor changes to service levels, and specific trip times will change.

41 Keele
Temporary routing change
Buses will divert in both directions during final TTC construction work for the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension at Finch West Station. Buses will operate both ways via Tangiers Road and Toro Road.

341 Keele
Temporary routing change

30 Lambton
Seasonal route extension
Service will be operated into High Park on the 30B Lambton (Kipling Station-High Park via High Park Stn) branch, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Service will operate every 24 minutes on Saturdays and every 30 minutes on Sunday and holidays. The last day of service on this extension will be Labour Day, Monday, September 5, 2016. Earlier Sunday serviceSunday morning bus service will start earlier, at approximately 8 a.m., to match the start time of the subway service.

47 Lansdowne
Temporary route change
Buses will be diverted during City water main and road work at Lansdowne Avenue and Dundas Street West. Southbound buses will operate south on Lansdowne Avenue, east on Dundas Street, south on Dufferin Street, west on Queen Street, and north on Macdonell Avenue to route. There will be no change to northbound buses. A further diversion in both directions will be required later in July and August during TTC track work at Lansdowne Avenue and College Street.

62 Mortimer
Temporary route change
The route will be temporarily changed at Broadview Station during construction that requires the closure of the bus loop. Buses will serve customers on Erindale Avenue, north east of the station. Customers paying with cash, tokens and tickets will require a paper transfer to access buses or Broadview Station.

72 Pape
Route change
The branch structure on this route is changing:
72A (Pape Stn-Eastern) will operate between Pape Station and Eastern Avenue only.
72B (Pape Stn-Union Stn) will operate between Pape Station and Union Station, and provide service on Commissioners Street and Queens Quay East.
72C (Pape Stn-Commissioners) will no longer operate. Customers travelling south of Eastern Avenue and to Commissioners Street will need to use the new 72B (Pape Stn-Union Stn) service.

New service
New service will be operated between Pape Station and Union Station on a 72B (Pape Stn-Union Stn via Queens Quay) branch. Service will operate every 14 minutes during peak periods and every 16-to-18 minutes at all other times. This replaces 72C (Pape Stn-Commissioners) service south of Eastern Avenue and on Commissioners Street. Scheduled travel time between Carlaw Avenue/Queen Street East and Union Station is approximately 20 minutes.

Service increase
Service on Carlaw Avenue and Pape Avenue, north of Eastern Avenue, will be increased at all times of the week. During peak periods, the service will improve from every eight minutes to every seven minutes. At all other times, the service will improve from every 10 minutes to every eight-to-nine minutes.

74 Mt Pleasant
Temporary route change
The route will be temporarily changed at St Clair Station during construction that requires the partial closure of the bus loop. Buses will serve customers on Pleasant Boulevard, near the bus loop exit. Customers paying with cash, tokens and tickets will require a paper transfer to access buses or St Clair Station.

87 Cosburn
Temporary route change
The route will be temporarily changed at Broadview Station during construction that requires the closure of the bus loop. Buses will serve customers on Erindale Avenue, north east of the station. Customers paying with cash, tokens and tickets will require a paper transfer to access buses or Broadview Station.

88 South Leadside
Temporary route change
The route will be temporarily changed at St Clair Station during construction that requires the partial closure of the bus loop. Buses will serve customers on Pleasant Boulevard, near the bus loop exit. Customers paying with cash, tokens and tickets will require a paper transfer to access buses or St Clair Station.

90 Vaughan      
Temporary route extension
Buses will be extended to Bathurst Station, during construction work at St Clair West Station that will require the temporary closure of the bus and streetcar platforms. Buses will operate both ways via Vaughan Road and Bathurst Street.

96 Wilson
Schedule change
 
Schedules will be adjusted in the early morning from Monday to Friday, to even out trip times between Humberline Drive and Finch Avenue, and between Islington Avenue and Elmhurst Drive.

100 Flemingdon Park
Temporary route change
The route will be temporarily changed at Broadview Station during construction that requires the closure of the bus loop. Buses will serve customers on Erindale Avenue, north east of the station. Customers paying with cash, tokens and tickets will require a paper transfer to access buses or Broadview Station.

107 Keele North
Temporary routing change
Buses will in both directions during final TTC construction work for the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension at Finch West Station. Buses will operate both ways via Tangiers Road and Toro Road.

121 Fort York-Esplanade      
New service
A new bus route will be operated, serving the southern portion of downtown Toronto. The route will operate between the Fort York Neighbourhood and the Distillery District via Union Station and The Esplanade, with a seasonal extension to Cherry Beach between May and October. This new route will replace 172 Cherry Street service on The Esplanade, Mill Street, and on Cherry Street to Cherry Beach. During the summer, one service will be operated on the 121C (Fort York-Cherry Beach via Union Station and The Esplanade) branch. Service will operate every 15 minutes or better, all day, every day.

165 Weston Rd North
Schedule change
Schedules will be adjusted in the peak periods on the 165F (York Mills Stn-Canada Drive) branch, to improve the reliability of the service. Service on each of the 165D (York Mills Stn-Major Mackenzie) and 165F (York Mills Stn-Canada Drive) branches will be improved slightly, from every 40-to-41 minutes to every 39 minutes in the morning peak period, and from every 46 minutes to every 38-to-39 minutes in the afternoon peak period.

Service increase – YRT/Viva request
At the request of YRT/Viva, service will be increased on the 165C (York Mills Stn-Canada’s Wonderland) branch on Saturdays and Sundays. Service will operate every 17-to-21 minutes. On Sunday and holidays, the last trip departing Canada’s Wonderland will be later, at approximately 10 p.m.

192 Airport Rocket
Seasonal service increase 
Service will be increased, seven days a week, because of increased travel to and from Pearson Airport in the summer. Buses will operate every six-to-nine minutes at all times of the week.

199 Finch Rocket
Stop change 
The westbound stop for the 199B (Scarborough Centre Stn-York University via Finch Stn) branch will be changed at Dufferin Street. The route will serve the northbound far side stop on Dufferin Street at Finch Avenue West instead of the westbound nearside stop on Finch Avenue West at Dufferin Street. This change will improve service for customers waiting for an express bus to York University at this location.

224 Victoria Park North
Service eliminated
At the request of YRT/Viva, this peak period route will be eliminated, along with the 24D Victoria Park (Victoria Park Stn-Major Mackenzie) Monday-Friday midday branch. YRT/Viva will replace the services with a new 24 Woodbine bus route operating from Don Mills Station. Visit YRT.ca for more information. A new streetcar route, 514 Cherry, will be operated between Distillery Loop and Dufferin Gates Loop via Cherry Street/Sumach Street, King Street and Dufferin Street. Service will operate all day, every day, every eight to nine minutes during peak periods and every 15 minutes or better at other times.

Schedule change
Service on the 504 King streetcar route will be adjusted in conjunction with the introduction of the 514 Cherry streetcar route to better match ridership demand. More frequent streetcar service will operate in the busiest section of the route between Dufferin Street and Sumach Street at all times. Peak period service will continue to operate every three-to-five minutes on the entire route and every 10 minutes or better at all other times.

506 Carlton
Streetcars replaced by buses
Streetcars will be temporarily replaced by buses because of several co-ordinated TTC and City construction projects on College Street and on Gerrard Street. From Monday to Friday, streetcars will operate between Main Street Station and Bay Street, and buses will operate between High Park (Keele Station) and Church Street. On Saturday, Sunday and holidays, buses will operate over the entire route. Buses will divert away from College Street at various times because of the ongoing construction. Overnight, buses will fully replace streetcars on the 306 Carlton route seven days a week.

509 Harbourfront
Seasonal service increase
Service will be increased in the late evening from Monday to Friday, and in the evening on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays because of increased summer travel. The service will be improved from every eight minutes to every six-to-seven minutes.

Shuttle bus service ends
The temporary 509/511 shuttle bus service that has been operated since January 2016, between Exhibition Loop and Bathurst and Fleet, during construction at Exhibition Loop will be discontinued. Customers on the 509 Harbourfront route can use the 511 Bathurst bus service to connect to and from Exhibition Place.

511 Bathurst
Temporary bus replacement

Buses will temporarily replace streetcars, for track reconstruction at the College/Bathurst intersection. Buses will operate over the entire route to Exhibition Place, and will loop on-street in Exhibition Place because of the continued closure of the Exhibition Loop for construction. Buses will operate every three-to-five minutes at all times of the week. Streetcars will return to service in August.

512 St Clair
Temporary bus replacement

Buses will replace streetcars on the entire route, for various TTC and City construction projects along St Clair Avenue, at St Clair West Station, and at St Clair Station. At St Clair Station, buses will serve customers at the bus platform at the lower level, on Pleasant Boulevard. At St Clair West Station, buses will not enter the station, and will serve customers at temporary stops outside the station on St Clair Avenue. Customers paying with cash, tokens and tickets will require a paper transfer to access buses or St Clair West Station.
