Happy Holidays & Happy New Year!

I would like to extend season’s greetings and best wishes to all TTC employees and pensioners over the holiday period.

This year has truly been a transformative one for the TTC, and I think we can look back with pride at the results of our hard work and the unparalleled transit service that we have delivered to the people of Toronto. I give tremendous credit to the dedicated and hard-working employees throughout the organization. Our first goal is to always provide great service to our customers – and that is what we achieved. Thank you to Andy Byford for his tremendous leadership here at the TTC … I know I speak for us all when I say he will be missed.

I hope everyone enjoys a peaceful and safe time with friends and family over the holidays. I hope to see those who are working on New Year’s Eve when I head out to visit stations and ride the system as we, once again, ring in the year with free transit thanks to our sponsor Corby Spirit and Wine.

Finally, thank you for all of the kind and inspiring words and e-mails that I have received as I get ready to assume the Acting CEO role on Dec. 23. I look forward to seeing you all in early 2018.
