Michael Killingsworth named Head of Transit Enforcement


I am pleased to announce that Michael Killingsworth has been permanently appointed into the role of Head – Transit Enforcement, effective Nov. 26, 2017.

I am pleased to announce that Michael Killingsworth has been permanently appointed into the role of Head – Transit Enforcement, effective Nov. 26, 2017.

Michael is a 30-plus-year veteran of the TTC and began his career as a summer student employed in the Plant Maintenance and Subway Maintenance (Rail Cars and Shops) departments. Michael’s full time career at the TTC spans over 20 years in the Corporate Security Department and successor Special Constable Services and Transit Enforcement departments as a Patrol Officer, Criminal Investigator and Trainer, seven years in front line transit operations across all modes, except the Scarborough RT and two years in the TTC Training and Development Department.

Michael has played a key role in the development of the policies, procedures and strategic direction of the Transit Enforcement Department for over a decade, and most recently has served as the Interim Head – Transit Enforcement.

Dedicated to lifelong learning, Michael holds a diploma in Law and Security Administration from the Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, a diploma in Adult Education from Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology, complimented by a host of training credentials from the Toronto Police College and Ontario Police College.

His experience gives Michael the broad operational knowledge and professional network necessary for the work he does.
