LifeWorks opens crisis line to support those affected by the conflict between Ukraine and Russia

We are saddened to see the military invasion in Ukraine last week. War, violence and political uncertainty can cause a number of responses, including stress and anxiety. Please know that we are here to support you and your family with resources to help you try to understand the impact of the situation and process the events that are unfolding.

The immediate and confidential Employee and Family Assistance Program (also known as LifeWorks) is available. Lifeworks is available at all hours of the day, every day of the year, by calling 1-800-572-0039, or TTY: 711 (TTY to Voice) or 1-800-855-1155, or visiting
workhealthlife.com. Their website also features additional information and tips on coping with trauma.

Crisis Support Line now open
LifeWorks has also opened a Crisis Support Line for anyone in the community in need of emotional support specifically in relation to these events. This resource is available to everyone, client or not. The Crisis Support Line is open 24/7 and can be reached in Canada at 1-844-751-2133 and the United States at 1-877-757-7587. By calling, individuals will receive professional emotional support and/or referral to community resources.

Attached are special resources from LifeWorks offering practical emotional support tips during this challenging time. If you would like these supports in French, Ukrainian or Russian, please contact OHEW@ttc.ca.

In times like this, it is important to remember to take care of yourselves and each other. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Manager or Supervisor if you need anything further.
