Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day – Thank You

Today (March 18), marks Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day – an opportunity to recognize the incredible work you do to keep our communities connected and running safely. I want to say a heartfelt thank you for everything you do.

We have said from the start of the pandemic, two years ago, that we would get through this together – and it feels like we are close. No matter your role – whether you are working the frontline, at a TTC location, or from home – you have made a difference. Each and every day, you provide an essential service that keeps our great city moving.

Today, TTC employees working on site will receive special giveaways as a small token of our gratitude – a button for Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day to wear proudly, as well as a voucher for a free medium coffee to help brighten your day, thanks to our friends at McDonald’s. For staff who are working from home, you’ll find these items ready for you when you return to the office in April.

I’ve watched as you’ve all risen – and continue to rise – to the challenge to keep Toronto moving. So, today, and every day, thank you.
