Introducing a new tool for digital collaboration

Over the course of the pandemic, TTC employees have increasingly turned to digital tools to hold meetings, collaborate and get our work done. As we begin the transition to a hybrid working model at the TTC, the IT Services Department will be upgrading several tools over the coming months to make remote work easier.

One of the upgrades that I’m very excited to announce is the rollout of Microsoft Teams. Many of you may already be familiar with the software and its many great features. Like Skype for Business, Teams can be used to send messages, host meetings and call coworkers, but it also has several other useful features that the TTC will enable in future, like group channels and live document sharing.

These are important capabilities for TTC computer users, and there are many resources to help employees get started with Teams on the IT intranet page. Skype for Business will also be available for the next several months – but now is the time to explore and become familiar with our new and improved software.
