The second employee is an Operations Supervisor who works in Transit Control. The individual developed symptoms on September 25. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, September 28, 2021. The individual last reported to work on September 19, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

September 27: The first employee is a Streetcar Operator who works at Leslie Barns. The individual developed symptoms on September 19. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, September 26, 2021. The individual last reported to work on September 17, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee is a Cable Technician who works in the Plant Maintenance Department. The individual developed symptoms on September 25. September 10: The first employee is a Bus Operator who works at Birchmount Division. The individual developed symptoms on September 9. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, September 10, 2021. The individual last reported to work on September 6, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee is a Bus Operator who works at Queensway Division. The individual developed symptoms on September 4. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, September 9, 2021. The individual last reported to work on September 1, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

September 8: The employee is a Bus Operator who works at Birchmount Division. The individual developed symptoms on September 3. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on September 6, 2021. The individual’s last day in the workplace was August 19, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

September 6: The employee is a Bus Operator who works at Mount Dennis Division. It is unknown when the individual developed symptoms. The TTC was advised of a positive test result yesterday, September 5, 2021. The individual last reported to work on August 19, 2021, and is current self-isolating.

September 3: The first employee is a Storeperson who works in the Materials Management Department. The individual developed symptoms on August 22. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, September 2, 2021. The individual’s last day in the workplace was August 20, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

The second employee works in the Human Resources Department. The individual is asymptomatic. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, September 2, 2021. The individual has been working from home and is currently self-isolating.

The third employee is a Building Serviceperson who works in the Plant Management Department. The individual developed symptoms on August 30. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, September 3, 2021. The individual last reported to work on August 27, 2021 and is currently self-isolating at home.

September 2: The employee is a Bus Operator who works at Arrow Road Division. The individual developed symptoms on August 19. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 on August 25, 2021. The individual’s last day in the workplace was August 17, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

September 1: The employee is a Bus Operator who works at Wilson Division. The individual developed symptoms on August 31. The individual tested positive for COVID-19 today, September 1, 2021. The individual last reported to work on August 23, 2021, and is currently self-isolating at home.

Following TPH guidance on case and contact management, the TTC is assessing whether there were any close contacts with the individuals while contagious, requiring self-isolation.

The TTC takes safety very seriously and considers the health and well-being of TTC employees of utmost importance. Any employee who is not feeling well, should stay home until their symptoms have gone away. The TTC will continue to report information about positive diagnoses and publish the information on the TTC COVID-19 case update page on the TTC website.

If you develop new or worsening symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (https://www.toronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/8ea0-How-to-Self-Monitor_EN.pdf) or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 stay home, take the COVID-19 Self-Assessment (https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/), and contact your local Public Health Authority, Primary Care Physician or Telehealth Ontario. In order to claim sick benefits, employees must complete the Medical Absence Form (MAF) for the period of absence.

Important reminder: Safety notices advise employees with concerns about their personal health to contact their family doctor or Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000. Toronto Public Health has also set up a coronavirus hotline that provides the public with a place to get information, ask questions about this virus and connect with a health professional at 416-338-7600.
