FIRESIDE CHAT WITH STEVE D. ANDERSON, TTC’S FIRST BLACK LAWYER – A COMTO event
The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) Toronto and Region is hosting a fireside chat with Steve D. Anderson, the first Black lawyer hired by the TTC and author of Driven to Succeed. The event will also be streamed on all TTC-TVs on Feb. 28.

RECREATION COUNCIL SOCK DRIVE
The TTC Recreation Council is collecting socks to support several homeless shelters in Toronto. The donation drive runs until February 25 and aims to collect 10,000 pairs of socks. Donation can be made at any transportation division or in the lobby of the Gunn and Inglis buildings at Hillcrest or Head Office above Davisville Station. Employees can also choose to make a monetary donation by sending an e-transfer to email@example.com. The sock drive is held in partnership with Toronto Police, CUPE Local 5089, ATU Local 113, CUPE Local 2 and COMTO.

MEETING OF THE TTC BOARD
TTC Board meetings are held via an online video conferencing platform during the COVID-19 pandemic. Commissioners, TTC staff and the public are expected to participate in meetings remotely. These measures are necessary to comply with physical distancing requirements and a Provincial Order that limits public gatherings.
