The TTC is pleased to announce the appointment of Cheryn Thoun to the position of Head of the Customer Communications Department. The appointment was effective on April 14, 2014.

Thoun joins the TTC from KPMG LLP (an audit, tax and advisory firm) where for the last three years she worked as Director of GTA Marketing, responsible for building the company’s brand and partnerships in the community.

Thoun previously worked at the City of Toronto for 10 years, her last position as Manager of Strategic Communications and Research. She managed the City’s brand and led the communications for large-scale projects, such as the launch of 3-1-1 Toronto, Toronto’s 175th anniversary as well as for municipal elections.

Thoun brings 20 years of experience in communications with a specialization in brand management and the creation of fully integrated marketing and communications campaigns. She holds a degree in communications from the University of Ottawa.
