The TTC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Cousins to the position of Head of the Transit Enforcement Unit. The appointment was effective on June 2, 2014.

Cousins is a 26-year veteran of law enforcement. He spent the last 20 years with the Phoenix Police Department in Arizona where he retired as a Police Commander to take the role of Transit Enforcement Head at the TTC.

Cousins brings extensive experience managing large groups of individuals working in the law enforcement field. While working with the Phoenix Police Department he was pivotal in implementing a variety of large-scale projects, and was a member of the fire/life, safety, security committee for the Phoenix transit system.

Cousins is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Northwestern University’s Centre for Public Safety, School of Police Staff and Command, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s Leadership in Police Organizations. He is an adjunct faculty member with the Centre for Public Safety and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
