Friday, December 20, 2013

  • Regular Monday-Friday service; last weekday of the November 24-December 21, 2013 board period.
  • Yonge Subway early closure north of Eglinton Station at about 12:30 a.m.

Saturday, December 21 – First Day of Winter

  • Regular Saturday service; last day of the November 24-December 21, 2013 board period.
  • Additional scheduled standby and service relief buses and streetcars.
  • Yonge Subway normal late-evening service to Finch Station until about 2 a.m.

Sunday, December 22

  • Regular Sunday service; first day of the December 22, 2013-January 4, 2014 board period.
  • Most routes start at 9 a.m.
  • Additional scheduled standby and service relief buses and streetcars.
  • Extra service may be operated at the divisional level.
  • Yonge Subway early closure north of Eglinton Station at about 12:30 a.m.

Monday, December 23

  • Regular summer Monday-Friday peak-period service on YUS Subway and BD Subway.
  • Regular summer Monday-Friday peak-period bus and streetcar service.
  • School trips not running.
  • Yonge Subway early closure north of Eglinton Station at about 12:30 a.m.

Tuesday, December 24 – Christmas Eve

  • Special sign-up for Operators.
  • Special schedule.
  • Regular summer morning peak-period service; school trips not running.
  • Reduced afternoon peak-period service, operating from 12 noon to 5 p.m.; school trips eliminated.
  • Yonge Subway normal late-evening service to Finch Station until about 2 a.m.

Wednesday, December 25 – Christmas Day

  • Special sign-up for Operators.
  • Sunday service.
  • Most routes start at 9 a.m.
  • Yonge Subway normal late-evening service to Finch Station until about 2 a.m.

Thursday, December 26 – Boxing Day & Kwanzaa

  • Special sign-up for Operators.
  • Regular holiday service.
  • Most routes start at 6 a.m.
  • Additional scheduled standby and service relief buses and streetcars.
  • Yonge Subway normal late-evening service to Finch Station until about 2 a.m.

Friday, December 27

  • Regular summer Monday-Friday peak-period service on YUS Subway and on BD Subway.
  • Regular summer Monday-Friday peak period bus and streetcar service.

Tuesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve

Free service on all TTC routes in Toronto starting at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve through to 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day, courtesy of Corby Distilleries.

  • Special sign-up for Operators.
  • Regular summer morning peak-period service; school trips not running.
  • Reduced afternoon peak-period service, running from 12 noon to 5 p.m.; school trips not running.
  • Special Monday-Friday schedule with late-evening service extended until later than usual.
  • Extra service may be running at the divisional level on subways.
  • Most routes with Monday-Friday late-evening service continue until 4 a.m. (see list below for contracted service exceptions)
  • Last trains on the YUS Subway leave Union Station at 3:30 a.m. for Finch Station and 3:34 a.m. for Downsview Station. The last northbound train on the YUS Subway will connect at Bloor-Yonge Station with the last eastbound and westbound trains on the BD Subway, and at Sheppard-Yonge Station with the last eastbound train on the Sheppard Subway. Seven standby trains to be operated.
  • Last trains on the BD Subway leave Bloor-Yonge Station at 3:37 a.m. for Kipling Station and at 3:37 a.m. for Kennedy Station. The last eastbound train on the BD Subway will connect at Kennedy Station with the last eastbound train on the SRT. Four standby trains to be operated.
  • Last train on the SRT leaves Kennedy Station at 4:07 a.m. for McCowan Station.
  • Last train on the Sheppard Subway leaves Sheppard-Yonge Station at 3:58 a.m. for Don Mills Station.

Wednesday, January 1, 2014 – New Year’s Day

Details of New Year’s Eve service

TTC routes

  • 86 Scarborough: Service from Toronto Zoo will be extended until about 10 p.m.
  • 501 Queen: Diverts both ways via King and Spadina after 11 p.m.
  • 509 Harbourfront: Increased service in the late evening. Buses run every nine minutes until 2 a.m., and every 15 minutes after 2 a.m.
  • 510 Spadina: Increased service in the late evening. Streetcars run every six minutes until 1:30 a.m., every eight minutes from 1:30 a.m. to 3 a.m., and every 12 minutes after 3 a.m.

Contracted routes

Mississauga Transit

  • 58 Malton: Service to Westwood Mall will be extended until about 4 a.m.

York Region Transit

  • 17 Birchmount: Service to 14th Avenue will end at the usual time.
  • 24 Victoria Park: Service to Major Mackenzie Drive will end at the usual time.
  • 35 Jane: Service to Langstaff Road will end at the usual time.
  • 68 Warden: Service to Major Mackenzie Drive will be extended until about 4 a.m.
  • 102 Markham Rd: Service to Mount Joy GO Station will end at the usual time.
  • 105 Dufferin North: Service to Rutherford Road will be extended until about 4 a.m.
  • 107 Keele North: Service to Teston Road will be extended until about 4 a.m.
  • 129 McCowan North: Service to Major Mackenzie Drive will be extended until about 4 a.m.
  • 160 Bathurst North: Service to Centre Street will end at the usual time.
  • 165 Weston Rd North: Service to Major Mackenzie Drive will be extended until about 4 a.m.
  • 224 Victoria Park North: Service to Major Mackenzie Drive will end at the usual time.
