Message from the Executives

Additions to the TTC Executive Team and reallocation of departments

I am writing to announce a reallocation of functions between groups to meet business needs, as well as the appointment of two executives.

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to announce a reallocation of functions between groups to meet business needs, as well as the appointment of two executives.

TTC Organization Chart, effective August 6, 2017

An expanded People Group will absorb the work previously undertaken by the Human Resources Department, reflecting the enlarged mandate of HR over the last several years, a mandate that now includes Diversity and Human Rights.

The newly named People Group is headed by Chief People Officer, Gemma Piemontese. As Gemma’s deputy, I am pleased to announce that Megan MacRae becomes Executive Director – Human Resources and will join the Executive Team.

While Gemma oversees the areas of Training and Development, Diversity and Human Rights, Investigative Services, Policy Development and the HR Service Centre (including Payroll), Megan will oversee Benefits, Compensation, Occupational Health and Claims Management, Employment Services, Employee Relations and Employee Development.

I am also pleased to announce that Tara Bal, who headed up Internal Audit, has been named Acting Chief Financial Officer of a revised Corporate Services Group that includes Finance, IT, Materials and Procurement and Pensions. Christine Leach will be Acting Head of Internal Audit.

These changes are effective August 6.

Please join me in welcoming our colleagues to their new roles.

Andy Byford
Chief Executive Officer
