Introducing Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy
Introducing the TTC’s Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
Getting vaccinated remains one of the most important ways we can protect each other and our community. That is why we have made COVID-19 vaccines mandatory for all TTC employees, contractors and students by October 30, 2021.
Today (September 7), we are releasing our new mandatory vaccination policy, which can be found on our website at ttc.ca/COVID-19.
As I said when I announced this initiative a few weeks ago, this is a necessary measure to protect the health of our employees. From the start of the pandemic, the TTC has been a leader in safety to help stop the spread of COVID-19, and we will continue to do everything we can to keep our community safe.
Your next step: Confirm your vaccine status by September 20, 2021
> From September 7 to 20, employees should submit their proof of vaccination via the new COVID-19 Vaccination Portal available by clicking on their employee profile on myttc.ttc.ca.> Employees who have not received the required number of doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and/or who do not show their vaccination proof by September 20 will be required to participate in mandatory education regarding the benefits of vaccination.> Employees that do not have their first and/or second vaccine doses by September 20 will be required to show proof that they have received their first dose by September 30, 2021 and two doses by no later than October 30, 2021.> For a single dose vaccine series (e.g. Johnson & Johnson), employees must receive the dose by September 30, 2021.Working together to bring this pandemic to an end
From the moment an employee steps onto TTC property, it is our duty to do everything in our power to ensure their safety.
This policy is the right thing to do for everyone and is an important step for us as we work together to bring this pandemic to an end. We will continue to work with employees and our union partners to address and resolve any questions and concerns.
Thank you for your ongoing co-operation and stay safe.
