Message from the Executives

Office of the Chief Executive

On Wednesday (September 14), I was very pleased to have the opportunity to participate in the official kick-off of our annual TTC/United Way fundraiser. After two years of virtual and online events, it was nice to be able to see many of you in person to support this amazing cause.

We at the Commission, including campaign organizers, volunteers and union partners delivered a very important message about our need to give what we can. The TTC has a long and proud history of supporting United Way Greater Toronto – we understand the important work they do providing a crucial community safety net for many in our community.

I’d like to remind everyone that there is a Harvey Shop/Streetcar Way Public Open House takes place this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hillcrest. Everyone is invited to attend and explore the amazing work done by our operations and maintenance crews. Lots to see and do.

Supporting United Way Greater Toronto by participating in the numerous fundraising events planned by our volunteers over the coming weeks is a great way to show your support.

Let’s Talk Fatigue: Worker Fatigue Survey
This week the Safety and Environment Department introduced a worker fatigue survey. The short survey is completely confidential and provides us all an opportunity to assess for ourselves what factors contribute to fatigue and how it affects us in the workplace. The survey is voluntary and will be available at MyTTC | Home until September 30. Please take a moment to participate.

Looking forward to see you all over the coming weeks.
