The CNE kicks off today and as we all know the TTC is the better way for everyone to get to all the spectacular rides and attractions the Ex has to offer.

The TTC is running extra buses and streetcars on all routes heading to the Exhibition Grounds, including non-stop CNE Express shuttle buses from Bathurst Station.

TTC offers free rides for current and former Canadian military
​On Saturday, Warriors’ Day, the TTC is honouring current and former members of Canada’s military by providing free rides to them and one travelling companion. War and peacekeeping veterans can show their service medals or ribbons to receive free access to all TTC vehicles and stations.

I am very proud to share that the TTC Honour Guard will be representing all of us in the annual Warriors’ Day Parade taking place at the CNE, which this year commemorates the RCAF centennial and the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The TTC has a long and strong history of military service. Every year, we are proud to salute those who serve or have served by providing them transit free of charge on Warriors’ Day and Remembrance Day.

ACAT accepting applications until August 27
​A quick reminder that ACAT is accepting applications for new committee members until 4 p.m. on August 27. Applications are available at ttc.ca for any resident of Toronto interested in joining the advisory committee. Applications can also be requested by phone at 416-393-3030 or 1-800-855-0511 (relay service for people who are deaf or hearing impaired).

ACAT is a 15-member committee that advises the TTC on the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities and seniors and makes recommendations on the elimination of barriers to accessible public transit.

Join our Caribbean Heritage Month farewell event
​On August 28, the TTC is holding a special event at Hillcrest Complex to say farewell to our Bacchanal Bus, a special tribute to Caribbean Heritage Month featured in the Toronto Caribbean Carnival parade. This event will also be my last at the TTC. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
