Message from the Executives
Office of the Chief Executive
The TTC is preparing its 2025 Annual Service Plan and is seeking feedback from customers and stakeholders. Next year’s Service Plan will continue to implement, advance, and refine actions approved in the 5-Year Service and Customer Experience Action Plan. The focus also remains on the following:
• Service adjustments and improvements to select bus routes, including local routes, and the Blue Night Network. As part of these adjustments, the TTC is reviewing the impact of the One Fare Program, which eliminates the double fare for customers transferring between the TTC, GO Transit and other GTA transit agencies.
• Construction-related service adjustments related to planned construction projects work next year.
• How Community Bus Network service could better meet customers’ needs.
The first round of public consultations involves an online survey, which is available until August 20. In-person pop-up events will also take place. A second round of consultations will be held in October and November.
TrackTTC on ttc.ca
The TTC has started making enhancements to the real-time transit information it shares with customers.
Through the Bustime website (https://bustime.ttc.ca) launched recently, customers can now track buses and streetcars in real-time whether the vehicles are scheduled or have gone into service as a result of an unplanned event, such as shuttles or replacement buses. TrackTTC also has an interactive real-time map that customers can click on to find more detailed information about a particular stop or vehicle, including seeing where it is on the route, how full the bus is, whether the vehicle is on diversion and how it is diverting.
Customers can also create a list of favourite routes and stops and receive alerts about them when anything changes on the route.
These enhancements will make it easier for customers to plan their journey in advance, and have more robust information at their fingertips in the event something happens in the middle of their trip. Riders will also still be able to track their vehicle by texting the stop ID to 898-882.
Rewards and Recognition nominations close Aug. 9
Finally, a quick reminder that today is the last day to nominate a colleague or co-worker to the Rewards and Recognition fall program. Please take the time if you haven’t already so to highlight someone who is making a significant contribution to the TTC’s success.
Stay safe.
