Message from the CEO

Earlier this morning, one of our bus Operators was involved in a serious accident when the bus was struck by a stolen car. The Operator has been transported to the hospital along with some of our customers. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt on the bus.

There have been a couple of incidents similar to this one over the past few weeks. This is one more reminder of the challenges you all face every day. Your safety and the safety of our customers is the most important thing to me, so please be careful.

I know today’s event can be upsetting. If you need support, please remember that the TTC’s immediate and confidential Employee Family and Assistance Program (EFAP) is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We wish everyone a fast and full recovery. We are working closely with Toronto Police Services who continue to investigate this incident.
