Message from the CEO

I am very pleased to introduce you to our new Chief Capital Officer, Stephanie Davies. She will be joining the TTC, starting December 2, 2024.

Stephanie joins us from Metrolinx (formerly GO Transit), where she served as Chief Capital Officer for the last two years, following roles of progressive responsibility since 2003. There, she most recently led a portion of the Metrolinx Capital Projects Group responsible for transforming the regional passenger railway network.

I have no doubt that her 20-plus years in the industry, leading complex and integrated projects, will help us build and expand our system to better serve the people of Toronto. She will play an integral role in leading our infrastructure, accessibility and state-of-good repair capital projects as part of our Capital Investment Plan.

Stephanie Davies, Chief Capital Officer
​Stephanie is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in delivering projects and leading large teams.

After five years of building telecommunication networks, she found her passion for infrastructure and transit at GO Transit. For over 20 years, Stephanie has had a hand in almost every aspect of the GO network — expanding rail corridors and stations, building new bus maintenance facilities, and partnering with local transit agencies to deliver joint infrastructure, such as the Mississauga Transitway.

Most recently, Stephanie was the Chief Capital Officer at Metrolinx in charge of GO Expansion, a $35-billion program to expand, electrify and modernize signalling of the GO network. Stephanie is focused on safety and appreciates that the customer is at the heart of all that we do.

In her spare time, Stephanie loves skiing with her husband and two teenage sons, singing in her local choir, and enjoying her transit-friendly Toronto neighbourhood in the east end.

I want to also acknowledge the extraordinary contributions of Gary Downie, who has managed this portfolio for seven years and will remain with the TTC to assist during Stephanie’s transition period.
