Yesterday, I attended my first Rewards and Recognition celebration. It was a pleasure to meet and hear about all our award recipients and their accomplishments.

The TTC’s long-standing values of safety, service, and courtesy were on full display. On behalf of the Executive Team, congratulations to all our Fall 2024 winners. Thank you to everyone who nominated these talented individuals, and congratulations to everyone who played a role in organizing this wonderful event.

Safety Moments
​I want to take a moment to talk about safety. Safety is the cornerstone of operations at the TTC. As part of this work, we are strengthening our collective commitment to safety in our workplaces by improving upon our Safety Moments, a time at the start of each meeting to promote a positive safety culture and reinforce everyone’s knowledge of safety. The Safety Moment now includes location-specific safety and emergency procedures, as well as a review of current safety topics related to workplace or personal safety.

No job at the TTC is so important that it cannot be done safely.

Recognizing World Mental Health Day
​Considering World Mental Health Day, which was October 10, I want to remind everyone that there are services available to support your overall well-being, including your mental health.
