I am incredibly proud and deeply honoured to join this iconic organization – one that is woven into the very fabric of Toronto. The TTC is more than a transit network. It’s the heartbeat of this vibrant, diverse city and a vital driver of Canada’s economy. It connects lives, fuels opportunity, and holds the trust of millions every single day.

What makes this organization truly special, however, is you. The resilience, dedication, and passion of TTC employees are legendary. Across every line, depot, and station, your work keeps Toronto moving – and I am here to stand alongside you in that mission.

As your new CEO, my focus is clear: to lead with purpose, listen with intent, and work shoulder to shoulder with you to deliver safe, reliable, and world-class service – the kind of service this great city deserves and can take pride in.

Together, we’ll confront the critical issues head-on: improving reliability, elevating safety, ensuring cleaner, more welcoming spaces, and embracing smart innovation to shape the TTC of the future.

But beyond performance metrics and modernization, I want to reignite the pride – the pride this city once felt and should always feel in its transit system. And more importantly, the pride you should feel every single day when you put on your uniform, step into your role, and serve the people of Toronto.

Transit is in my DNA. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of travelling on public transport with my parents – it sparked a lifelong passion. I began my career hands-on, training and working as an electrician, before joining London Underground’s graduate program and then progressing to lead North America’s largest subway network at New York’s MTA, Subways as Chief Operating Officer.

I know transit. I love transit. And I believe – deeply – that public transit is one of the greatest levers for equity, sustainability, and progress.

In the days ahead, I’ll be out and about across the system – listening, learning, and connecting. I want to hear your ideas, understand your challenges, and celebrate your wins. Because we rise together.

This is our moment. Let’s move forward with purpose and pride, and together, elevate the TTC to be not just a world-class transit agency – but the gold standard for urban mobility.
