Collective Bargaining Update: Lodge 235 ratifies contract

Lodge 235, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (“Lodge 235”) has ratified a collective bargaining agreement negotiated between the union and the TTC. The agreement was approved by the TTC Board at the April 11, 2024 meeting and will be effective retroactive to April 1, 2022.

The contract is for a four-year term, effective April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2026. Wage increases agreed to are as follows:

• April 1, 2022 – 3.75%
​• April 1, 2023 – 3.00%
​• April 1, 2024 – 3.00%
​• April 1, 2025 – 3.00%

The new collective bargaining agreement also increases various benefits.

We are pleased to have reached a fair settlement that recognizes the hard work and important contributions of this group of employees while taking into account the fiscal environment of the City of Toronto.

Lodge 235 represents approximately 40 employees at the TTC.
