LRT organizational restructure

Important update from O&I and T&V Chief Officers

As we prepare for the launch of Line 5 and Line 6, we’ve taken a thoughtful look at how our teams are structured to ensure we’re set up for success. To better support operational readiness and long-term performance, we’ve made the decision to separate the daily divisional management from the strategic oversight and contract management functions.

Here’s what’s changing, effective immediately:

• Divisional management of LRT Operators now report into the Transportation and Vehicles Group.

• The remaining LRT Operations team has transitioned into the newly named LRT Business Management Department, led by Marjorie Andrade, Head of LRT Operations, reporting to the Operations and Infrastructure Group.

• The LRT Business Management team will focus on performance monitoring, contract compliance, and strategic collaboration with Metrolinx, while working closely with the Transit Control Centre.

These changes are designed to improve clarity, accountability, and alignment across our organization while ensuring we maintain the highest standards of safety and service as we move toward operational readiness.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please speak to your Supervisor.
