Message from the Chief People and Culture Officer

We are excited to share that the TTC’s Diversity Department is now the Access, Equity and Inclusion (AEI) Department.

This new name reflects our department’s growth and maturity over the past four years and aligns with the TTC’s ongoing journey in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA). AEI highlights our people-centred focus on embedding equity, removing barriers, and fostering belonging for employees and communities.

What this means for you:

• Our mandate, services, and support remain unchanged.

• You will begin to see AEI reflected in intranet references, WorkZone, templates, and email signatures.

• This change will enhance collaboration across the TTC by making our role and purpose clearer.

This is more than a name change. It is a commitment to embedding equity into how we work, shaping systems and services that ensure every person feels seen, heard, and valued.
